What attracts you in Hertoghs’ areas of expertise?
The combination of tax law and criminal law offers the perfect combination of complexity of figures from tax law and the human aspect from the legal profession. The variety of work within these fields makes every day different. As a result, the work is never monotonous.
What is your particular expertise and how did you develop it?
During several work placements within the tax advisory practice, I gained experience in the area of material tax law. Now, my focus is mainly on criminal law and tax litigation.
What is your definition of a good attorney?
In my opinion, a sense of the human aspect is fundamental to being a good attorney. Clients must feel understood so that they can have confidence that I will fight for their interests.
What can you share about your private life?
I like spending my time with friends or family. Doing activities outside, but I also enjoy an evening at home. Furthermore, I like to travel to discover new cultures and taste different cuisines.
